ABOUT THE CAPTAIN
Being a native of Citrus County, I grew up fishing the backcountry and grass flats of Crystal River and Homosassa. My passion is putting my clients on a great bite, and also sharing my life long knowledge of the area. Those countless days of fishing the nature coast created a wealth of knowledge that allows me to put my customers on fish day in and day out. I enjoy fishing the backcountry creeks and bays for Redfish, Snook and Trout. But my true passion is for something that will definitely give anyone an adrenaline rush, catching big Gag Grouper on the shallow rocks and ledges along our coast. If you are looking to have a great day on the water catching fish and enjoying the outdoors, I have the knowledge and equipment to put you and your family on some of the best fishing the state has to offer.
MY BOAT
I fish out of a 24-foot Young Gulfshore that is especially designed for our area. The Young Boats team designed this specialty skiff with the ability to run in less than 8 inches of water, which enables us to fish in the hard to get places on any tide. It’s powered by the best out there, a Suzuki 300hp four stroke. The boat is designed to fish up to four anglers “comfortably.” Some of the equipment I rely on to make sure you have the best chance of catching a fish of a life time are Fitzgerald rods, Shimano reels, Minn Kota trolling motor, and Power Pole shallow water anchor. I work with many more great tackle companies that provide the latest technology in soft plastics, hard baits, and terminal tackle that will trigger an awesome bite.
